Hi, I’m Wendy Cawte, 

I hale from sunny Queensland and started my real estate career with a well-known franchise at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.   Moving to Adelaide some 14 years ago was not only a climate change, but a learning curve in business to build a rapport and relationship with a smaller, closer community.  I am happy to say I found the people much friendlier and the pace slower and more congenial to getting to know people and their families on a regular, more personal basis.

During the 14 years, I have run my own real estate business and have become well-known, local agents offering our commitment to our local community.

One of the more challenging and most enjoyable aspects of my expertise is in working with people to get their homes ready to sell.  So much importance in real estate is placed on “first impressions” and “presentation”, yet very few people can see their own homes through the eye of the camera or from a buyer’s perspective.  Rather than doing an impersonal makeover, I work with my clients utilising their own furniture and belongings – de-cluttering, rearranging (storing when necessary) and then adding the finishing touches to freshen the look, rather than totally change the style.  I often find myself shopping for cushions, lamps, pictures, plants, table settings and various small items to enhance the look of the home.  Even the most old fashioned home can become fresh and cheerful with the right touches.  I then work with professional photographers to complete the process, ready for market.  What buyers see on the internet, is what they will see when they visit.  I make sure of that.

Selling homes to me is a vocation, not a job and as a fully qualified sales person, I tend to be the ‘silent support’ or ‘backbone’ to the whole sales process.  From a marketing point of view, it is important to keep up to date with technology and provide good, sound marketing strategies that relate to the state of the market as it changes.
